Red lines on a pale canvas, tracing patterns and forming letters. In the darkness of his room, he smiles, as a razorblade carves words into flesh.

Tilting his head to look at his work in the limited light, he smiles again, as blood trails down his skin. Transferring the razorblade to his other hand, he starts over, carving the same words over and over while they run through his mind, echoes from a time long passed.
