Doujinshi

My doujinshi collection. If you can call it that... I'm very picky about my doujinshi, especially about the art. Not so much about the pairings, as long as it looks pretty, though I'm more likely to buy non-pretty yaoi than gen or het.

Title: Blue Pieter.
Artist: Tomoe Nanako.
Year: 1997.
Fandom: Final Fantasy VI.
Pairing: Gen.
Pages: 70.
Rating: 4+ of 5.

Part two of a retelling of the FFVI story. The art and book itself is absolutely gorgeous. This volume tells about the Mt. Kolts ascention, the Vargas - Sabin fight and the reunion between Edgar and Sabin. It also has the meeting up with the Returners. The characters look amazing, especially the twins and Vargas, and there is a handy map and profiles of Sabin and Shadow in the back. The only reason why it doesn't get 5 is the lack of yaoi.

Title: Okuzuke.
Artist: Various.
Year: 1995.
Fandom: Final Fantasy VI.
Pairing: Various.
Pages: 116.
Rating: 3 of 5.

Anthology of doujinshi by various artists. Great variation in art styles, though all the art is decently pretty. The story by Shurei Koyu is stunningly pretty, and there are a few coming quite close. Other doujinka have chosen a cuter style. This book gets a mention for having an absurdely cute chibi Kefka.

Title: Never Ending Darkness.
Artist: K. Haruka.
Year: 1998.
Fandom: Final Fantasy VII.
Pairing: CidxVincent.
Pages: 38.
Rating: 3+ of 5.

K. Haruka is one of my favourite FFVII doujinka. This particular book has her usual art, and a lovely CidxVincent story. No sex, but I don't mind. Still pretty. The fairly low rating is only due to it being so short.
